Set the mission
Describe the product the way a user would complain about the old way. Not the category name on your homepage. Karmy uses that to pick threads. You will throw away some of the first batch. That is the calibration, not a failure.
A week of proof
Ten comments, no links, in threads from the same day. Count profile views and referral visits, not upvotes. If both are zero, the subs are wrong or the comments are about you. Fix the subs before you add a karmito. The find-customers guide has the thread filter in more detail. One mission on Karmy is enough for this test. You do not need five products to learn if the room is real.
What the first customer looks like
It is one person, in a thread from that morning, who described the problem in their own words and then replied to your comment or clicked through. It is not a spike on a launch post, and it is not a founder in r/SaaS saying 'cool project'. If you measure the second thing, you will tune the mission toward peers and wonder why nobody pays.
Set the mission in the buyer's words. Throw away the first batch of pings that are jokes or support threads for a different product. That throwaway is the calibration. Then take ten comments in threads from the same day, with no link, and write down visits. One mission is the whole test. Five products at once just means you cannot tell which sentence worked.
The week, day by day
Day one: three subs, rules read, two comments. Day two and three: the same pace, only posts from the last six hours. Day four: logged-out profile check, and a look at which comment got a human reply. Day five: drop the quiet sub, stay on the one that replied. Day six and seven: if a thread asks for a tool and the account clears the rule, one careful mention. If it does not ask, you still do not mention it.
Bring a karmito in only after a week that produced a visit or a real reply. Automating a room that has not produced either is how you buy removals faster. The find-customers guide has the thread filter in more detail. This page is the operating week.
When to stop
Stop the sub if two weeks of useful comments produce upvotes and no visits. Stop the sentence if every hit is a meme. Do not stop the whole channel because one mod removed a link. Read the reason, fix that habit, and keep the subs that stayed quiet in a good way: no removals, a few replies, one visit. That quiet is the business. The loud week in a founder sub is usually not.
