Karmy for Slack · Growth

Reddit threads worth answering,
in the Slack channel that owns them.

When Karmy finds a Reddit thread where someone is asking for what you sell, it posts it to your Slack channel: subreddit, link, and the reply already drafted. Your team reads it, makes it their own, and answers while the thread is still fresh. One channel per product or per client. No auto-posting, ever.

01 · WHAT LANDS IN THE CHANNEL

The thread, the link, and the reply already written

Every message names the mission it belongs to, the subreddit, the thread title, a direct link, and the draft Karmy wrote in your voice. Comments and posts are labelled. If a scan finds several threads at once they arrive together, so the channel gets one message, not five.

What you do not get: a firehose of every mention of a keyword. Karmy only sends threads where someone is asking for what you sell, or a competitor is being questioned. That is the difference between an alert channel the team mutes and one the team reads.

02 · SETUP

Three steps, no code, no new app to install

1. Create an Incoming Webhook

In Slack, open the app directory, choose Incoming Webhooks, pick the channel. Slack gives you a URL that can write into that channel and nothing else.

2. Name it Karmy, add the icon

Name the webhook Karmy and upload the Karmy icon, so messages arrive looking like the example above. Or name it after the client.

3. Paste the URL in Karmy

In the Karmy Mini App, paste it under Settings → Send anywhere for a default channel, or inside a mission to give that mission its own channel.

Karmy recognises a Slack webhook URL and formats every opportunity as a readable Slack message. You keep getting them in Telegram too. Prefer Discord? Same setup with a Discord webhook URL.

ONE DESTINATION PER MISSION
acme → #acme-reddit
globex → #globex-reddit
initech → the default channel
03 · SEVERAL PRODUCTS OR CLIENTS

Each mission, its own channel

Open a mission, paste the Slack webhook of that client’s channel, and its opportunities go there and nowhere else. Missions without one fall back to the channel in Settings. Growth covers 5 missions, Scale covers 20. Agencies usually start at Reddit lead generation for agencies.

No bridges, no extra tools, no glue to maintain. Karmy does the routing, and the mission name is on every message anyway, so even a shared channel stays readable.

04 · WHO USES IT

Built for the team that answers, not just the founder

Marketing teams

A #reddit-leads channel where the fresh thread and the draft show up together. Whoever owns the Reddit account answers in a minute instead of reading Reddit all day. Discuss the reply in the thread first if you want to.

Founder-led sales

You are the one who should answer, but you are not going to sit on Reddit. The ping arrives where you already are, with the draft. Answer, adapt, move on.

Support and product

Threads where users complain about a competitor or ask which tool to pick are product feedback in the raw. Route a mission’s threads to #product-signals and the team sees what people actually want.

Agencies

One mission per client, each with its own channel: #acme-reddit, #globex-reddit. Or a shared Slack Connect channel with the client, so they see the thread and the draft the moment you do. More on the agency page.

05 · WHY SLACK AND NOT AN EMAIL DIGEST

A thread is worth answering for hours, not days

Reddit decides in the first hours whether a thread takes off, and the early useful comments ride it to the top for good. A digest that arrives next morning shows you threads that are already buried under a hundred replies. Karmy pings the channel when the thread is still fresh, and the draft is right there.

Scans run through the day, on the mission’s own schedule and time zone. Nothing is batched into a single daily send. If a scan finds several threads, they come in one message.

WHAT KARMY DOES, AND DOES NOT
✓ Finds the threads where someone asks for what you sell
✓ Writes a draft in your voice for each one
✓ Posts the link and the draft to your Slack channel
✓ Labels every message with the mission it belongs to
✓ Gives each mission its own channel if you want
✗ Never posts to Reddit on your behalf
✗ Never reads anything from your Slack
✗ No brand-mention firehose: only threads worth answering
PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS
What Karmy can do in Slack: write a message into the one channel the webhook was created for.
What Karmy cannot do: read messages, see who is in the workspace, list channels, or write anywhere else. An Incoming Webhook has no read access at all.
What leaves Karmy: the mission name, subreddit, thread title, link and draft. Nothing about your Karmy account, your Telegram or your other missions.
What you can revoke: delete the webhook in Slack and the connection is gone that second. Nothing stored on our side beyond the URL you pasted.
06 · SECURITY

No Slack permissions asked, nothing read back

Karmy does not install a Slack app with scopes. It uses the Incoming Webhook you create, which can only write to one channel. That is why there is nothing to approve in a security review beyond the URL itself. A mission’s own destination must be https, and every request Karmy sends carries an HMAC signature with your secret, so your own systems can verify it came from Karmy if you route it further.

Workspace restricts app installs? Ask a Slack admin to create the webhook for the channel and hand you the URL. After that, nobody else needs to touch it.

07 · SEATS AND PLANS

The whole channel reads it. No per-seat pricing.

Karmy is priced per account, not per person. Add teammates to the Slack channel and they all see the opportunities and the drafts. Growth (€19/month) includes Send anywhere and 5 missions; Scale (€39/month) covers 20 missions, the competitor watch and the MCP for your AI tools. Starter gets the same opportunities in Telegram only.

If the channel is archived or the webhook deleted, Slack rejects the message. Karmy retries, then pauses webhook delivery for the account and tells you in Telegram, so a week of leads never disappears in silence.

WHAT EACH PLAN SENDS TO SLACK
Starter €9Telegram only
Growth €19Slack, 5 missions, a channel per mission
Scale €39Same, 20 missions, competitor threads, MCP

FAQ

Questions

How do I get Karmy into Slack?

Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack (Slack app directory, Incoming Webhooks, pick the channel, copy the URL). Paste that URL in the Karmy Mini App: in Settings for a default channel, or in a mission to give that mission its own channel. From then on every new opportunity lands there as a readable message.

What does a Slack message contain?

The mission name, the subreddit, the thread title, a direct link to the thread (or the sub to post in), and the draft reply Karmy wrote for it. Comments and posts are labelled. You read it, adapt it to your voice, and post it yourself.

Will the messages show the Karmy name and logo?

They show whatever you name the Incoming Webhook and the icon you upload to it, because the webhook lives in your own workspace. Name it Karmy and upload the Karmy icon and it looks like the example on this page. You can also name it after the client instead, which some agencies prefer.

Can each client or product have its own channel?

Yes. Every mission has its own destination: open the mission, paste the Slack webhook of that client’s channel, and only that mission goes there. Missions you leave empty use the channel set in Settings. Nothing else to install.

Does the Slack integration need admin approval?

It depends on your workspace. Incoming Webhooks are a standard Slack feature, and many workspaces let any member create one. If yours restricts app installs, ask a Slack admin to create the webhook for the channel, then paste the URL in Karmy. Once the webhook exists, nobody else needs to do anything.

Does Karmy read my Slack channels?

No. An Incoming Webhook can only write one message into one channel. Karmy never receives anything from Slack, has no access to your messages, users or other channels, and does not ask for any Slack permission scope.

How many people can see the alerts? Do I pay per seat?

Everyone in the channel sees them. Karmy has no per-seat pricing: one Karmy account, one channel, the whole team reads and answers. Add people to the Slack channel, not to Karmy.

Are alerts real time or batched?

Karmy sends an opportunity as soon as a scan finds it, and scans run through the day. If a scan finds several threads at once they arrive in one message, so the channel does not get five pings in a row.

What happens if the channel is archived or the webhook is deleted?

Slack rejects the message. Karmy retries a few times, and if it keeps failing Karmy pauses webhook delivery for the account and tells you in Telegram, so you know before a week of opportunities goes missing. Fix the URL and switch it back on.

Does Karmy post to Reddit for me?

No. Slack gets the opportunity and the draft. A person reviews and publishes. Karmy never posts to Reddit through Slack or the webhook.

Which plan includes Slack?

Slack delivery is part of the Growth plan, through Send anywhere. Starter gets the same opportunities in Telegram.
