Reddit for SaaS

Reddit marketing for a SaaS, without the launch-post habit

SaaS Reddit marketing fails when it is a launch. It works when you answer the comparison threads your buyers already start.

The only funnel that fits

A buyer asks what to use. You answer with the criteria, then the option you would pick and why, including the case where it is not you. They open your profile. The profile has a normal comment history. Some of them click through. That is the funnel. A post titled 'I built X, roast it' is a different sport, and the people who reply are other builders.

Cadence

One account, three subs, a handful of comments on days when a real thread exists. Not a post every day. Daily posting is how accounts look automated. Karmy will not invent a thread to hit a quota. If nothing scores high enough, you get silence, which is the correct outcome.

What to measure

Referral visits from reddit.com, and the thread they came from. Upvotes are a weak proxy. A comment with 2 upvotes and 40 visits is the one to study. A comment with 80 upvotes and 3 visits was entertainment.

A SaaS week that is not a launch

Monday is rules and two comments in the sub where your buyer's sentence already appears. It might be r/SaaS. It is often a narrower sub you found by search. Wednesday is the same, only on posts from the last six hours. Friday you count referral visits. If the only people who replied are other founders complimenting the idea, you are in a peer room. Move. A product demo posted into r/SaaS every day trains the sub to ignore you and trains AutoMod to watch the domain.

The funnel that fits is still a comment: answer, constraint, the option you would skip, the name only if they asked. Measure the visit. The subreddit list for founders is the map. This page is what you do after you have picked the room.

Questions people ask

Should I buy Reddit ads too?

Ads are a different channel with a different bill. This page is about comments in threads that already rank and already get read. Run ads if you want, but do not confuse the two reports.

Get the thread, not another tab.

Karmy watches the subreddits that match your product, scores the thread by intent, and sends a draft to Telegram. Free for 10 days, no card. One mission is €9 a month after that.
